POSITION TITLE: Sr. Software Engineer - Platform
REPORTS TO: Engineering Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
AEO is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer. This person will be expected to participate in the full software development life cycle from requirements, to development, to testing and support. In addition to performing software development, this person will participate in architecture, design, estimation, and testing efforts. They will maintain software design and development projects using Java/Java Enterprise technologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute hands on programming utilizing Java, Spring, multi-threading, REST, and Microservices
- Participate in the architecture, design, development, and deployment of enterprise systems
- Build, orchestrate, and deploy highly scalable REST based stateless APIs/web services for web applications/mobile clients
- Lead and mentor junior engineers.
- Multi-task and support multiple, concurrent projects.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- 8+ years experience in designing and developing scalable enterprise level backend solutions
- Experience rolling out distributed, large-scale, low latency web applications
- Experience designing ecosystems for Web applications & API Platforms
- Experience architecting and defining application layer in micro services landscape
- Understanding of security concepts and building reliable and safe distributed applications
- Solid knowledge of applications performance improvement techniques and caching solutions
- Experience with ATG ecommerce platform is a plus
