POSITION SUMMARY:
The Product Management Internship allows students to work alongside our Product and Technology teams to create value for our customers by defining and piloting new and innovative solutions. These capabilities will optimize the customer journey in order to further American Eagle’s position as a leader in fashion and retail. The Technology Product Management Intern will assist in developing high-impact programs that enhance the customer journey both in-store and through the digital shopping experience.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, results-oriented, and an excellent communicator. This individual should have some understanding of e-commerce and a passion to delight our customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with a Sr Product manager to champion the needs of customers with a focus on both customer and business value
- Engage business stakeholders throughout the execution of a project, ensuring that what is delivered meets the business’s goals and objectives
- Analyze market research, user feedback, data, and competitive landscape to identify new product opportunities and enhancements
- Blend business acumen, technical problem solving and agile execution
- Develop detailed requirements and feature definitions
- Prioritize features based on customer and business value and understand the art of sequencing their delivery with an agile framework
- Synthesize business requirements, identify areas of uncertainty, recommend solutions, and gather buy-in from relevant stakeholders
- Define metrics of success and analyze results
INTERNSHIP DETAILS:
- The internship will be 10 weeks from June 2022 through August 2022
- Each intern will be considered seasonal/temporary in nature
- Each Intern will be assigned a Coach & Mentor to guide them through their experience
- Each Intern will be assigned a project which will be presented to AEO Management at the conclusion of the Internship

- Bi Weekly self-evaluations to understand progress throughout program

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Students are eligible after they have completed their junior year at a 4 year college or university; First year Master’s students are also eligible
- Preferred majors include a Technology related degree – Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Innovation, Product Management etc.
- Interest or previous experience working with innovative technology solutions
- Minimum 3.0 GPA required
- Strong organizational, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
- High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, specifically Excel
- Must accommodate living and working in Pittsburgh, PA for 10 weeks June-August 2020
