POSITION TITLE: Senior Manager – Data Platform Infrastructure
The Senior Manager, Data Platform Infrastructure partners with teams across the organization to setup Data Platform Infrastructure with the goal of managing data as an asset. As a $4.5 Billion retailer with global operations, you will be responsible for managing Customer and marketing related projects at our ambitious pace. The Manager will pro-actively problem solve and serve as a subject matter expert for Customer, Marketing, Personalization marketplace and will work closely with technical stakeholders. You will be working closely with IT Security and Legal teams to improve the quality and value of Customer data, respond to regulatory protection requirements as well as support the strategic requirements of a data driven organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define technology strategy, architecture, roadmap, budget and lead the implementation and maintenance of data and reporting platform infrastructure in cloud
- Make security a priority at every step of the infrastructure, application, and products
- Partner with Enterprise Data Governance team and implement policies, guidelines, procedures, and standards for infrastructure
- Collaborate closely with technical leadership to ensure continual alignment around the development, maintenance, access, use, security, and retention of data
- Work within and across agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full stack of development tools and technologies
- Build and establish strong working relationships by providing timely, accurate and high-quality information to peers, direct reports, executive management and/or customers
- Ability to hire, manage and grow a team of technical experts that build and operate secure, durable, flexible, accessible solutions
- Provide day-to-day work management, technical guidance, strategic direction, problem resolution, and cloud cost optimization
- Ability to assess risk of technical changes and provide data-driven solutions
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
- 10 years of platform management / Infrastructure architecture experience
- 5 years of experience building and managing petabyte scale data platform infrastructure in cloud
- 5+ years of hands-on management of IT operations, and infrastructure responsibility with broad exposure to system integrations, migrations, upgrades, and maintenance
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (preferred) or AWS and Bigdata solutions
- Experience managing data ingestion pipelines including streaming technologies for analytics solutions a plus
- Strong experience implementing DevOps, DataOps, DataSecOps and SRE practices
- Strong experience with enterprise security protocols and best practices around data compliance
- Strong time management, prioritization, problem-solving, organizational and presentations skills
