POSITION TITLE: Assistant – Public Relations
REPORTS TO: Senior Manager – Public Relations
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Work closely with the Aerie, OFFLINE, unsubscribed PR team to help execute seasonal strategies and ongoing needs.
- Assist in gathering all materials required to promote the brand and secure positive press coverage.
- Monitor for press placements, create reports highlighting wins.
- Provide recommendations on innovative ways to garner brand awareness.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support PR department on all needs, events, projects and initiatives
- Works with merchants and styling team to maintain PR sample organization and sample trafficking
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to remain up to date on seasonal assortment
- Collaborate with PR agency to process all influencer, editor + celebrity personal orders through DC, online or store pull
- Track and monitor all press clippings in all media outlets
- Track and monitor PR departments overall deliverables and press reporting results
- Works cross functionally to create seasonal lookbooks for seasonal pitching
- Create and maintain fashion, media and celebrity lists
- Assist in developing and organizing seasonal product mailings
- Help plan and execute seasonal press presentations and events
- Support VP with travel and expenses and any meeting requests as needed
- Organize and oversee PR office and fulfillment of team projects, including administrative responsibilities
- Manage office/showroom supplies as needed
- Remain current with fashion trends, pop culturally relevant events, entertainment industry, and all media platforms
- Be aware of industry changes and competition providing recommendations on impactful programs
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in fashion internships preferred
- High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Google and Internet applications
- Strong prioritizing, interpersonal, presentation, & problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
- Self-motivated and proactive, with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
- Strong interest in fashion and social media
- Ability to think creatively and out-of-the-box
