Sr Graphic Designer - On-Product Marketing

POSITION SUMMARY:
This role will be responsible for all AE On-Product Marketing (OPM) and Packaging development from concept to production through innovative designs and timely execution of the OPM process.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain fashion awareness, conduct seasonal market research, and have a pulse on industry trends to develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape
- Work closely with the VP of Graphics to create innovative seasonal OPM, create concepts and mood boards to excite the cross-functional partners as well as successfully executive the AE vision of affordable luxury
- Initiate and design into seasonal newness, innovation and storytelling at concept stage to get merchant/design buy in
- Design and successfully execute production for a wide variety of artwork for OPM including (but not limited to): branded trims, labeling trims and packaging (main labels, hangtags, accessory cards, wrap bands, heat seals, etc.)
- Able to understand seasonal concepts and properly express the AE brand’s soul and identity, and know the difference between the two; also able to execute creative storytelling through OPM that helps elevate our product
- Manage the corporate label and packaging systems for AE of all on-product marketing from concept to delivery within the seasonal storytelling
- Work in harmony with the cross-functional teams including Graphic Design, Design, Concept, Business Strategies, Merchandising and Production as needed to achieve optimum results
- Ensure accuracy of design files in latter stages of development; manage time to ensure all target dates are met
- Additional tasks and assignments as required
- Able to work in a hybrid environment, meaning that some work may be performed remotely but certain essential functions must be performed in-person/in-office based on the needs of the business
- In person/in-office collaboration is required, the frequency of such in-person/in-office collaboration (e.g., portion of week, entire week) is dictated by business needs. Such collaboration includes work centralized around product development, milestone meetings, fittings, and approvals
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design or related curriculum
- Minimum of 2 years graphic design and production process experience
- Strong print experience required
- Experience building and converting artwork into multiple iterations
- Innovative and creative thinker
- Strong attention to detail with ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong interest in packaging, branded design and production
- Full proficiency in Mac OS with excellent skills in Adobe Creative Suite
