POSITION TITLE:     Software Engineer – IBM Sterling Order Management Systems

POSITION SUMMARY:  
You will be responsible for applying software engineering techniques and industry best practices to solve clear business problems. These techniques include but are not limited to analysis, design, documenting, testing and maintaining moderately complex applications and/or systems. This role will collaborate with Business Analysts and Developers to design, test and maintain flexible fulfillment e-commerce applications and systems, specifically related to IBM Sterling Commerce Order Management. This Engineer also work with cloud components and micro services that complement IBM Sterling Commerce system to fulfill AE business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Participates in formal design sessions with both onsite and offshore teams
  • Development activities related to IBM Sterling Commerce Order Management configuration and customization
  • Development activities related to Spring boot and other java related technologies
  • Participate in the on-call rotation for production support
  • Ability to lead and participate in the development, configuration and performance tuning of systems
  • Adopt best practices and coding standards
  • Perform system wide requirement and gap analysis
  • Provide detailed weekly task reports to reporting manager
  • Adhere to company and project standards and guidelines
  • Quality, on time delivery of committed deliverables
  • Flexible in working under changing and uncertain work schedules
  • Other responsibilities as assigned 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT or related field
  • 3 years of recent development in Sterling commerce 9.5 or later versions 
  • Technology experience with B2C web commerce software and order fulfillment/ distribution center systems a plus
  • Experience working in agile development environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
  • Any experience with development of spring boot based micro services in public cloud like GCP will be plus
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes will be a strong plus
  • Any experience working with middleware and Oracle ATG commerce will be plus
  • Ability to apply software design patterns to business and technical problems
  • Proven track record of delivery in applications with large volume, high availability enterprise applications
