POSITION TITLE: Social Media Marketing
REPORTS TO: Director of Marketing
POSITION SUMMARY:
Act as a social media champion, both internally & externally, through responsibility for the day-to-day management of Todd Snyder’s online communities and social networks, from content calendar development & deployment to hands-on community engagement and customer service. This role will directly play a key role in positively impacting brand awareness and consumer perception of the brand to maximize the success and profitability of Todd Snyder brand.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Community Management
- Develop and execute community and content strategy including strategy for new channels and platforms
- Own all aspects of digital & social media budgets, direct agencies and freelancers, coordinate with regional communicators, build cross functional relationships across the brand.
- Manage editorial calendar, drive the ideas and concepts of engagement, and set the overall tone and direction of the community
- Balance business needs across departments, including sales driving product messages, leaselines and promotions
- Oversee all listening & responding in real time within the community, including Facebook, blog, Youtube, Instagram, Twitter, Pose, Tumblr, Pinterest, etc.
- Work closely with Customer Service team to communicate and resolve issues
- Write copy consistent with the Brand voice to be used on all channels, solicit assistance from Brand copywriters as needed
- Monitor Ratings and Reviews, including setting up reporting for peers, replying inline to customers and working with vendors to ensure a best of breed technical implementation
- Develop metrics to measure business success, deliver to agreed upon metrics
- Analyze trends, sales, traffic and growth on weekly, monthly, quarterly basis and share findings with department and cross functional partners
- Work closely with Graphic Designer and creative team on social specific imagery for various messaging and seasonal needs
- Provide real time PR at events, including tweeting, blogging, Instagram, etc.
- Partner with Photo Studio to generate exclusive social content
- Own, conceptualize, coordinate, execute and fulfill social contests and giveaways
- Assist in the employ of the hub and spoke model to inspire and generate rich social content from across the company and various departments, including guest authors and contributors to the blog
- Collaborate with the Brand Marketing and Web teams to discover new ways to incorporate social media into stores and the website
- Own the sales cycle with new vendors and maintain an up-to-date view of the social media vendor, platform and technology landscape
- Determine “influencers”- top reviewers, comment creators, bloggers, Haulers, lifetime value, etc.
- Create and execute seasonal strategies to engage and celebrate Todd Snyder brand and employees through social media
- Research and monitor competitors presence in the social space and compile weekly reporting on most engaging content
- Monitor social conversations and compile reporting around volume, word clouds, topic trends, sentiment, etc.
- Measure the success of promotional pushes within social media, for each brand, and rank the impressions, visits, click-through rate and sales of each promo
- Measure and report on business impact and customer sentiment for each social promotion and event
- Communicate weekly with internal key business partners on the status of social media initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Passion for Todd Snyder brand
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, English, Public Relations, Communication, or related field
- 5 years of Social Media experience, and passion for social media with an active online presence
- High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications, experience with social monitoring, listening and measuring tools a plus (Social Engage, Radian6, TweetDeck, etc.) , and comfortable with social and location services like Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Flickr, YouTube, blogs, etc.
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, & planning skills
- Strong business acumen and communication skills, both Verbal and Written.
- Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
- Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
- Comfort and previous success working in rapidly evolving and high-ambiguity environments such as a start-up
