POSITION TITLE: Shared Services Intern (Platforms, Network, Security)
POSITION SUMMARY:
Participate in the analysis, design, engineering, testing, documentation, implementation, maintenance, operation and functionality for Platforms, Network and Security systems. Learn and use related tools, as well as the support of business system users.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support systems and software for Server Platforms, Storage, Network components, Security tools and compliance, system installations, upgrades, backups, administration and configuration, disaster recovery, security configuration, patching, system connectivity and system interoperability.
- Support Platform systems, Network and Security in Data center and/or Public clouds such as Google and Amazon.
- Analyze technology architectures and systems performance.
- Maintain System lifecycle components such as licensing, capacity, system inventory and end of life timeframes.
- Work with Platform, Security and Network teams and other teams to develop minimum baseline security standards.
- Implementation and support of new software or hardware components for infrastructure including Cloud services.
- Analyze and resolve technical system and performance tuning issues
- Evaluate overall system requirements for performance, availability, interoperability, utilization and reliability
- Communicate project status to project leader and manages interdependencies
- Maintain and update system procedures and documentation
- Leverage in-depth technical knowledge of operating systems, servers, storage, security and networks
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of installed technology for assigned technology infrastructure area(s)
- Potential to participates off-hour “system maintenance” activities
- Other duties as assigned
