POSITION TITLE: Image Specialist
SUMMARY OF SERVICES:
Deliver results for AEO marketing through analyzing and completing image tasks. Tasks include but are not limited to retouching, color correction, color conversion, archiving and naming images, image output, color matching to supplied samples and creation of image information not present in original image.
WORK REQUIREMENTS:
- Analyze image content, determine any needed enhancement and perform color correction, merchandise retouching and build image composites for final use
- Determine conformity of content to individual brand’s style guide (AEO, Aerie, Tailgate)
- Creation and execution of campaign look and feel based on direction from AEO Photographer, Photography Director and Creative Directors
- Individual adjustment of all requested images
- Adjust flesh-tones on model photos as needed
- Color conversion from RGB space to CMYK while maintaining the intended color
- Responsible for keeping up on Industry trends and best practices in Fashion, Retail and Photography
- Scaling and sizing of images for multiple uses
- Removal of cuts, holes, stamps, and other undesired photo data
- File handling after approval for release
- Convert image to correct color space for output requirements
- Maintain image archive
- Utilize the image process to make images available to clients within AEO for approvals
- Push final approved, hi-res imagery to vendors as needed
- Push images to websites through various file management software as needed
- Able to work in a hybrid environment, which may/will require working in person/in-office for a portion or all of a week based on the needs of the business
- In person/in-office collaboration may be required for work centralized around milestone meetings, development, and sign off of floorsets, as well as studio and external content creation.
REQUIRED SKILLS, CREDENTIALS, AND LICENSES
- Associates degree in photography / multimedia or related field
- 3+ yrs experience in image manipulation and color correction
- Thorough understanding of adjustment layers, selections, masking techniques.
- Experience with Photography or Production Art preferred
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and image database applications
- Proficient in Capture One preferred
- Proficient in using a Wacom Pen / Tablet
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated collaborative skills
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
