POSITION TITLE: Coordinator – Indirect Tax & Treasury
REPORTS TO: Senior Manager – Indirect Tax
The Indirect Tax & Treasury Coordinator position is responsible for assisting the Indirect Tax Senior Manager with the business license compliance function for operating stores, personal property tax and sales & use tax compliance. This position will also assist the Lead Treasury Analyst with bank account management, cash position reporting, and treasury payments. This position will require the candidate to develop an understanding of our ERP system (Lawson), accounts payable system (Ariba), G-Treasury bank account management software, and various electronic banking portals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Gather and review necessary information for annual business license renewals, and new store license filings. This includes coordinating with internal partners for sales, inventory, and payroll data.
- Work directly with external compliance partners to review and approve business license research.
- Complete business license payment and general ledger recording process.
- Coordinate personal property tax filings with outsourced compliance partner.
- Assist with sales & use tax compliance and accounting functions.
- Coordinate cash handling procedures for new store openings. This includes communicating with internal business partners, armored car carriers and banks to ensure activities remain on schedule.
- Assist with bank account management and cash position reporting.
- Assist with compliance-related documentation to satisfy Know Your Customer regulations.
- Perform bank transaction research and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
- Assist the Lead Treasury Analyst with corporate treasury payments.
- Perform other tax and treasury duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-2 years of experience in a Finance area, preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field, preferred
- Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office products
- Self-motivated with strong analytical, prioritization, interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with others and work well in a team environment
