POSITION TITLE: Site Merchant - Contractor
REPORTS TO: Director – Site Merchandising
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Site Merchandiser is responsible for the digital merchandising of a category. The Site Merchandiser will partner with cross functional teams to optimize online merchandising in alignment with category and overall Omni channel strategies. This role supports the Unsubscribed brand website.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own the digital merchandising for Unsubscribed.com desktop and mobile sites, driving topline and category sales. Experience with the Shopify ecommerce platform a must.
- Manage brand site updates and strategy involving product merchandising, navigation, shops, search, filters and promotions
- Assist in coordinating image and copy deadlines and approvals for product sets
- Responsible for reviewing preview site, QA of same and signing off on all pushes before they go live on website
- Partner with cross-functional team to align and execute to all site/digital deadlines
- Partner with Social and Performance Marketing on digital marketing campaigns and SEO efforts to optimize search-related traffic
- Examine and assess category merchandising strategies of key competitors and best-in-class online retailers to understand emerging trends and developments
- Adjust site merchandising strategy and/or execution based on customer feedback, competitor actions, in-stock shifts/product availability and other dynamic considerations
- Partner with site merchandising leadership to optimize online strategy for growing sales and driving site conversion
- Collaborate with product management team on strategic roadmap to prioritize new site functionality and merchandising capabilities
- Actively analyze site performance to provide insight to Omni-merchandising and other cross-functional business partners.
- Leverage Shopify and Google Analytics platforms to deliver and discuss site performance weekly, defining wins, opportunities and recommendations for overall site experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, or related field
- 1-3 years buying, planning or digital retail merchandising experience
- Experience with the Shopify ecommerce platform a must
- Experience analyzing website metrics and optimizing merchandising to drive sales
- Experience working with buying and planning organizations
- Strong business acumen
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
- Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
