POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will own Omni channel sales and inventory plans for designated category(ies) within the Todd Snyder business. This role will effectively analyze current business trends and communicate findings to cross-functional teams in order to ensure successful Open to Buy.  Partnering closely with Merchandising, Production, Marketing, and Store teams, this role will lead and execute strategic decisions to optimize pre-season buys, in-season profitability, and inventory utilization, all with the goal of achieving Todd Snyder revenue targets.

 

RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Own results, successes, and opportunities for area of business and drive results with the intention of furthering Todd Snyder as a premier destination for menswear.
  • Create and manage OTBs that inform thoughtful pre-season budgets and assortment strategies as well as maximize profitability and inventory turn in-season
  • For each seasonal buy cycle (4x a year): Build financial assortment plans at the cc level with proper depth and breadth by location to support topline OTB goals; present investment strategies to leadership for approval
  • Partner closely with Merchant counterparts to strategically drive accelerated business growth
  • Partner with Marketing, Stores and other down-stream partners to execute successful launches of new product offerings, collaborations, and/or brands
  • Monitor, analyze, and create selling reports (weekly, monthly, seasonal, etc) that speak to performance to plan and LY at all levels of the product hierarchy; develop and lead action plans on key takeaways
  • Analyze current trends and historical data to identify business risks and opportunities; present findings to partners and leadership
  • Develop and execute pricing and markdown strategies to optimize inventory turn, margin and revenue
  • Manage and maintain balanced inventory levels down to the size level across all locations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support new store openings
  • Play an active role in determining and executing Store Allocation strategy for initials and replenishment
  • Mange key item ladder plans at the style/color/month level
  • Take on special projects that enhance planning processes and/or lead to opportunities for increased profitability and efficiency

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Merchandise Planning, Buying, and/or Allocations
  • Proficient with Excel, Microsoft Office suite and Inventory systems
  • Experience with vertical retail preferred, ecommerce experience a plus. 
  • Able to multitask and prioritize to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong business acumen and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • In-depth understanding of retail and digital KPIs

  • Comfort and previously success working in rapidly evolving and high-ambiguity environments such as start-ups
